With West Ham’s pursuit for new attackers getting quite intense in the past few days, we now get to see reports about a new target from the Hammers.

This time, the story comes from the French media, where website But! Football Club writes that the London side are interested in the signing of Martin Terrier from Rennes.

It’s claimed the player was ‘noticed’ by West Ham this season, when the Hammers had been making scouting trips to check on Nayef Aguerd, who indeed ended up being signed by them on a €35m deal this summer.

Now with Terrier on their books, David Moyes’ side are said to be ‘closely following the case’.

The problem here would be the price, as it’s estimated to be of around €40m.

But! also points out some other negotiations West Ham are engaged in.

They claim the Hammers are ‘in advanced contact’ for the signing of Lille midfielder Amadou Onana, for whom they could make a third offer, besides looking for ‘a left-back and a central defender’ as well.
