West Ham United are among several European clubs in the picture to sign Spezia’s Jakub Kiwior this summer.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who explain that in recent weeks, the Hammers have ‘taken concrete steps’ to land the defender.
It’s claimed West Ham have contacted the Serie A side to request information about signing the 22-year-old.
The report further adds the first proposal of around €10m is ready to arrive from the Premier League club for the Poland international.
If West Ham were to make the offer in that region, then Spezia’s plan, for the time being, is to reject it. The Italian club are ‘convinced’ of being able to draw attention from more teams for the centre-back and then possibly start an international auction, probably in 2023.
Calciomercato state Spezia plan a ‘no today for a bigger yes, tomorrow’, especially since the player is at the centre of their project.
Although the report says Kiwior has attracted interest from several teams in Italy and across Europe, only David Moyes’ side and AC Milan are tagged.
