Having sold Gianluca Scamacca to Atalanta just a year after signing him from Sassuolo, West Ham United need at least one other striker to come in before the end of the transfer window.

They have been linked to many, and the latest is Paris Saint-Germain’s Hugo Ekitike, who has been on the transfer list at the Ligue 1 side for most of the summer.

His arrival has never really worked out, and West Ham could try and take advantage of all this to bring the 21-year-old to the Premier League after he refused to go to Newcastle a year ago, according to RMC Sport.

However, they face a lot of competition, as Lyon have joined the race, while Eintracht Frankfurt and AC Milan have also been on the case for over a week.

West Ham, alongside the Germans and the Italians, ‘continue to be interested’ in the young striker regarding ‘the signing’ during the summer transfer window.

The ideal solution for Paris Saint-Germain in all this would be to include Ekitike in a deal to sign Randal Kolo Muani, but that has yet to find a lot of traction over in Hesse.

As for West Ham, they certainly have the money to make something happen, but they will need to show they are willing to spend it.
