West Ham have sent an official to the San Siro today. It’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s big return to AC Milan, but the Hammers man will be distracted by another player, if claims coming from Italy are correct.
Tuttosport report the Premier League club have sent someone to Italy to watch the match, and specifically one player. That man is Franck Kessie, who has been repeatedly linked with a move to English football in recent years.
The Italian media have made it clear Milan will sell if they get a good enough offer, and it’s probably no exaggeration to say around half the Premier League have been linked with the player.
West Ham themselves have been the subject of rumours before, however, no club has ever moved strongly to try and get Kessie out of Milan.
That could be because the footballer perhaps isn’t as convinced as his club.
Calciomercato report that West Ham is a ‘viable hypothesis’ for the 23 year old, yet he’s not completely sold on the idea.
Kessie hasn’t started the match, which is an early kick-off as it’s a public holiday in Italy, so David Moyes’ spy could be left disappointed.
