According to Croatian website Tportal, Chelsea are interested in signing Rijeka midfielder Ivan Lepinjica, along with Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion.

The Premier League side will be looking to bolster their squad in this window now that their transfer ban has been lifted and the 20 year old could be a possibility.

Chelsea have reportedly put in an offer of offer between €3m to €4m, which is below the  valuation.

Tportal reports the Rijeka hierarchy won’t allow Lepinjica to leave for offers under €5m and the Croatian club have reportedly informed the interested parties about their stance.

It’s claimed Chelsea could face competition from several clubs, including Leeds United, West Brom, Juventus, Udinese, Atalanta, Sampdoria and Fiorentina.

Both Championship sides could bring in new additions this month as they fight for Premier League promotion.

The 20 year old central midfielder, who also plays for Croatia’s U21 side, has made 17 appearances for Rijeka in all competitions this season.

His contract with Rijeka will expire at the end of June 2024.
