West Ham United have made an ‘initial offer’ of €13m for Eintracht Frankfurt star Filip Kostic, moving themselves to the front of the queue for his signature.
That’s according to BILD, who say the Hammers are ‘causing trouble again’ with their bid for the 29-year-old.
The newspaper reports that while Juventus have still not made an offer for the Serbian winger, Kostic had reached an agreement with them and was keen on the switch.
The lack of an official offer has left Frankfurt questioning their seriousness, though, and in the meantime, West Ham have moved.
According to reports, he could also earn ‘more than €3m net’ at the London Stadium should he make the move.
The Hammers have ‘a lot of money’ available to them, and after a move for Hoffenheim’s David Raum failed, they’ve turned their attention to Kostic.
The player himself is ‘keeping his options open’, but West Ham are seen as a ‘financially potent’ negotiating partner by his club.
Frankfurt originally wanted €20m, although it is now ‘conceivable’ that an offer just below that could be accepted. They are yet to speak to Kostic about the offer.
