Milliyet claim Besiktas Gary Medel wants to continue his career in England, with West Ham United set to reignite their interest in the Chilean midfielder.
Medel was strongly linked with a move to West Ham during the last winter transfer window but the 31 year old ended up staying at Besiktas.
It’s now claimed Medel will look to terminate his contract with the Istanbul club because of unpaid wages and West Ham could be his next destination.
However, the Besiktas’ board don’t want to lose Medel on a free transfer and Milliyet say they will hold talks about the player’s future at the end of the season. The Turkish Super Lig has just one game remaining.
During the last transfer window, Medel was also linked with a move to Burnley but a switch to the Premier League side never materialised.
The former Cardiff City player is under contract at the Vodafone Arena until June 2020.
