Fanatik claim West Ham United officials will travel to Istanbul this week to complete the signing of Fenerbahce defender Hasan Ali Kaldirim.
Last week it was claimed in Turkey that West Ham have reached an agreement for the left back and are now looking to seal the deal. It was reported Kaldirim is interested in a move to the Premier League and playing for the Hammers.
The 29 year old impressed during Turkey’s win against France on Saturday night, helping to keep PSG star a Kylian Mbappe quiet throughout the game.
According to Fanatik, West Ham will this week meet with Kaldirim and if both sides agree on personal terms then they will pay his release clause, said to be €5m.
There were previously comments from his agent stating there wasn’t such a clause in his client’s contract but it’s likely they have a verbal agreement with Besiktas.
Kaldirim made 41 appearances for Fenerbahce last season and scored three goals. He is under contract with the Turkish club until June 2020.
