Arriving from Lorient in Ligue 2 last summer, Denis Bouanga had a good first full season in France’s top flight last year for Nimes Olympique, scoring seven goals and assisting three times in 35 appearances.

According to Mohamed Toubache-Ter in France, the Gabon international, who has represented the country 11 times in his young career so far, and his performances have caught the eye of a number of clubs around Europe, including Everton and Leicester City.

The journalist explains both the Foxes and the Toffees are interested in the 24-year-old, but could face competition from PSV and Feyenoord in Holland, with Nantes in France also keen.

So far, nothing else has happened, with clubs seemingly just poking around to see if they can get something going, but you would think the Premier League duo stand a good chance of getting their man if they take their interest to the next level.

After all, England’s top-tier has been a good playground for some of his international teammates, with both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mario Lemina enjoying themselves at Arsenal and Southampton respectively.

We’ll forget about Didier Ndong, but Everton and Leicester could be a good move for a winger who has already displayed his ability in France’s top tier, helping Nimes reach an impressive ninth placed finish this season.

One to keep an eye on, that’s for sure.
