It hasn’t been a positive day for West Ham news on Piotr Zielinski, at least from the Italian media.
Earlier today, we covered an exclusive from Calciomercato.it, who stated people close to the player had informed them he doesn’t want to move this summer. They found that a little surprising given there’s been several indications the midfielder could be on his way out.
Over at Calciomercato.com, they state West Ham have made an offer for the 28-year-old, which has been refused by Napoli. The Hammers are said to have put forward €20-25m for the player, and that’s not close enough to what the Serie A club want.
According to the report, Napoli are not willing to sell the player for less than €35-40m.
It’s also claimed Zielinski ‘does not seem convinced’ about a move to West Ham. That’s partly due to the wages being offered, with it explained he’s not tempted by the money the club have put forward.
To recap, Napoli want far more than West Ham are offering and the player himself doesn’t seem keen on the move.
