The father of Jonathan Calleri and the group of investors who owns his economical rights are set to held another meeting tonight.
As reported by Brazil’s UOL, the parties already talked for three hours on Monday, but were unable to find the best destination for the player.
Calleri’s father Guillermo is said to be pushing for a move back to São Paulo, where the striker scored 16 goals in the first semester and is much wanted by the fans.
But the investors, who bought him from Boca Juniors for €10m in January and organised the loans to São Paulo and West Ham, consider that the player should be kept in Europe so he won’t see his market value dropped.
UOL claims that besides São Paulo, Calleri has offers from Spain and Italy. The plan is to have his destination decided before the 20th of January. Remaining at West Ham isn’t even being considered at this stage.
