West Ham United will make an offer to sign Besiktas’ Gary Medel in the coming days, claim Turkish newspaper Fanatik.
After Chile’s exit from the Copa America, Medel’s future with Besiktas will now be decided and Fanatik report West Ham officials are planning a trip to Turkey.
The Chilean midfielder has been linked with a move to the Hammers since January and it seems those rumours are likely to continue throughout this window. West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is said to be keen to bring in his compatriot.
According to previous reports from the Turkish press, the 31-year old wants to leave Besiktas and play in the Premier League. It’s also been claimed Besiktas are looking to part ways with the player due to their financial woes.
Fanatik say other European clubs are also showing an interest in Medel, but West Ham are currently the most serious.
The Chilean is under contract with the Super Lig club until June 2020.
