West Ham United signed Sead Haksabanovic from Swedish club Halmstads BK in 2017, but he wasn’t included in the club’s Premier League squad last season.
Manuel Pellegrini, who arrived at the Hammers in the summer, allowed the 19-year-old to join Malaga on a season-long loan deal to continue his development.
Unfortunately for the player and the English club, manager Juan Muñiz has hardly used the winger and he’s been restricted to a solitary appearance in the league.
Malaga based newspaper Diario Sur now claims the teenager is already thinking about returning to his parent club in January.
It’s reported that several of the players may be ‘interested in leaving’ and Haksabanovic is one of them and the possibility of Malaga terminating his loan deal midway through the season seems ‘quite possible’.
Should the two clubs agree to end Haksabanovic’s loan deal in the mid-season transfer window, it is unlikely the attacker will get minutes under Pellegrini in West Ham’s first team in the second half of this term.
