West Ham defender Angelo Ogbonna could be included in AC Milan’s wishlist for the January window, the Italian media believes.
Newspaper Corriere Dello Sport brings a story today saying the Rossoneri intention originally wasn’t to spend in the winter market, but some situations could convince them to.
Milan’s idea would be to get players who have already shown their skills in Serie A, but didn’t have enough chances. That’s what happened to Fabio Borini, who the club recently signed from Sunderland, and would be the same with Ogbonna.
The plan is to only make ‘low cost’ operations, which as the label suggests, means Milan wouldn’t be offering West Ham much money for the defender.
Signed from Juventus for €11m two years ago, the 29-year-old only had regular playing time in his first season for the Hammers, and has been a rotation player lately.
But a deal would not only depend on how much would Milan offer, as David Moyes has just taken charge of the club and could have a different plan for Ogbonna’s future.
