Levante EMV, a media outlet local to Valencia, report West Ham have been left ‘outraged’ by Valencia’s behaviour in their pursuit of Javier Hernandez.
EMV say they reported on December 30th that a personal terms agreement had already been reached with the Mexico international. These claims were then picked up by the English media, and pushed as a fresh claim by Sky Sports.
This has all reportedly left the Hammers furious and they’re refusing to enter into talks with Valencia about a move for the player.
Should the current disagreement be sorted out, there’s still an awful long way for the deal to go. Los Che only want a loan, they don’t want to pay for it, and don’t want a clause forcing them to buy in the summer.
West Ham, on the other hand, would want any move to be a permanent deal, or at least a loan committing the signing club to pay something in the summer.
Hernandez remaining at the Premier League club wouldn’t be such a bad outcome for Manuel Pellegrini, especially if the club fail to bring someone in.
