Monday’s edition of Tuttosport claims West Ham United are one of the clubs following Sparta Prague’s Adam Hložek.
The 18-year-old recently recovered from a serious injury he suffered last October.
The newspaper states the forward would now be at a big European club, if not for this injury setback as ‘half of Europe’ and a ‘quarter of Italy’ were after him.
Having regained full fitness earlier this month, clubs still continue to chase the young attacker. The Hammers are joined by Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Napoli, Juventus and AC Milan in following the Czech Republic U21 international.
The Old Lady remain hopeful the teenager’s compatriot and Juve chief Pavel Nedvěd can have a ‘little bit of influence’ on the player, when it comes to deciding his future.
He has to prove himself again after recovering from a long layoff, but the outlet suggest there are ‘few doubts’ about his qualities.
Hložek’s current deal lasts until 2022 and this will only ‘spice up’ the situation. Sparta Prague, for their part, are working to extend his contract and this was recently confirmed by their sporting director, Tomáš Rosický.
“We have already started negotiations on the extension of the [Hložek’s] contract,” Rosický was quoted as saying by iSport.cz.
Hložek started the season on a bright note, scoring four goals and registering five assists in his first six league matches. If he’s able to replicate his pre-injury form, the number of suitors is likely to increase.
Tuttosport’s report explains West Ham have joined other European clubs in following Hložek and give their take on how Nedvěd could have a ‘little bit of influence’ in helping Juventus with his signing.
