West Ham United have reportedly joined Bournemouth in the race for Feyenoord defender Marcos Senesi.
Yesterday 1908.nl had reported the Cherries’ interest in the player. It was claimed the Premier League side had ‘officially signed up’ for the 25-year-old, even though it wasn’t known how much they would offer for the transfer.
Today, the same website is back with a new report, this time saying a ‘battle erupts’ between West Ham and Bournemouth.
1908.nl writes that their ‘well-established English sources’ tell them the Hammers are looking for a defender who can take the place of Nayef Aguerd, who’s sidelined with an injury, and Senesi has become a target.
Just like in the first report, the outlet claims that Feyenoord are demanding €15m for the player The Dutch side are unlikely to make big discounts, as they’ll already have to pay his former club San Lorenzo a 10% share of any profit they will be making, following his €6.5m move in 2019.
It still isn’t clear whether Bournemouth or West Ham will get to that price, as none of the clubs seem to have placed their bids yet.
