It started in Portugal, then it went to Italy, and now it’s back to Portugal. The rumours linking Rodrigo Battaglia to West Ham United don’t stop coming up, as the Hammers are always named in the competition for the Sporting midfielder.

This Tuesday, it’s newspaper A Bola who has a short story about the situation. They claim the player’s great season for the Lions has been attracting the interest from several sides.

The clubs who get a mention this time are West Ham, Inter Milan and Roma, but no talks or bids from any of them are reported yet.

Battaglia has a €60m release clause at Sporting, and it’s very likely that the club will demand at least half of that in case of a sale.

Yesterday, we covered reports from Italy claiming that Battaglia’s agent was flying from Argentina to Europe to listen to the offers the player has.

During the January transfer window it was reported in Portugal that West Ham had submitted a €20m offer for Battaglia, hence the claims continuing ahead of the summer.
