Loaned to IFK Norrköping from West Ham back in January 2019, Sead Hakšabanović has enjoyed himself in Sweden over the past year.

Featuring in 34 games for the Allsvenskan team, the forward has managed to score eight goals and assist another eight, which has attracted some attention.

Currently set to return to London Stadium in June, it’s reported in Sweden that he could have recently concluded a permanent move to Djugården.

Expressen reveal Hakšabanović ‘was close to being bought off’ by the league champions, after they got in touch with West Ham and agreed a transfer fee for the 20-year-old.

However, they report ‘the transition broke down at the last moment’, meaning the player will now remain at IFK Norrköping until the summer, when he will return to the Hammers before likely ‘being sold to a foreign club’.

Who that could be isn’t said, but it appears West Ham are hoping to make a tidy profit on Hakšabanović after paying Halmstads BK just £2.7m for his services back in 2017.
