As Italian side Sampdoria continue to work on the return of Pedro Obiang to the club, the local media sounds pretty optimistic that a deal with West Ham United can be done.
The Hammers are now accepting the idea of a sale, at least according to Tuttosport today, who highlights the possible move.
With Obiang himself being happy to move back to his old club, it’s claimed that an agreement can be found for €9m.
Now even though West Ham got the midfielder from Sampdoria for €6m three years ago, Tuttosport considers Obiang to be worth the extramillions more due to his growth in the Premier League.
Despite all these details, the newspaper doesn’t say where the negotiations stand, so things don’t seem on the verge of being completed but are edging forward.
Oviang signed a contract extension with West Ham last summer, and this deal runs until 2022.
