Achieving little success trophy wise in his career prior to his surprise Premier League win with Leicester City last season, Claudio Ranieri is now allegedly on the list of three clubs for the coming season: Southampton, West Ham and Stoke.
Earlier on Friday, Gazzetta dello Sport claimed Saints and the Potters could be possible destinations for the Italian once the season comes to an end.
The former was in case Claude Puel was, we can only assume, sacked or picked up by another club, while Stoke were said to be looking for ‘an international feel’ at the bet365 stadium.
Continuing what Gazzetta had started, TuttoMercatoWeb rocked up on Friday afternoon with an exclusive of their own, claiming that both West Ham and Stoke City are considering Claudio Ranieri for next season.
Slaven Bilic’s side have been disappointing following their impressive season in 2015-16 where they were hugely helped by an excellent Dimitri Payet, and it’s insinuated the club’s board feel the Croatian’s time at the London Stadium needs to come to an end.
As for Stoke, that’s two different outlets mentioning the Potters would be willing to give Ranieri another chance in the Premier League, and a stay in England, a country he clearly enjoys being in.
Right now the Italian media seem to be on a ‘find a home for Claudio’ mission and that’s leading to wildly inaccurate and somewhat ignorant claims about several English clubs.
