West Ham United are back chasing Porto winger Yacine Brahimi, according to claims from the Portuguese press this Wednesday.
Newspaper Record says the Hammers ‘haven’t given up’ and come with ‘strength’ to sign the Algerian winger in the next transfer window.
With Brahimi’s contract with Porto expiring at the end of the season, it’s said that West Ham have ‘heavy arguments’ to make him join the club for free in the summer.
Brahimi himself has a dream of playing in the Premier League, so the London side would be finally giving him this opportunity at the age of 29.
Record recalls that last summer, West Ham had sent officials to Porto, making a €30m bid for Brahimi.
President Pinto da Costa was tempted to accept it, but left the decision to manager Sérgio Conceição, who had a word with the player about his wishes.
In the end, Brahimi ended up staying at Porto, where he has 13 goals and 9 assists in what could be his final season for the Dragons.
