At the start of this month, Tutto Mercato Web reported that West Ham United are interested in Gabriel Barbosa, commonly known as Gabigol, and have met his agent, Kia Joorabchian, regarding the forward.

Gabigol is currently on loan at Santos from Inter Milan and the temporary deal will expire at the end of this calendar year.

The 22-year-old has made it clear that his preference is to return to Europe next year, while the Brazilian side do not have the obligation to sign him on a permanent deal.

According to Sport Mediaset, the Hammers are still looking at the South American star and ‘at the moment’ there is already an offer from Manuel Pellegrini’s side for Gabigol, who will be back on the Nerazzurri’s payroll from January 1st.

It is claimed that Inter director Piero Ausilio will have a decision to make on the attacker’s future and he will have to put his ‘head on it’ as soon as possible.

It was also reported that Crystal Palace and Everton also in the race for Gabigol and Calciomercato claims Inter could sanction his sale if they receive an offer of €20m.
