According to a claim in the Turkish media, West Bromwich Albion have tabled a bid for Fenerbahce defensive midfielder Josef de Souza.
NtvSpor have reported this evening that West Brom are interested in signing the 28 year old midfielder. It’s claimed the Premier League side have tabled a bid in the region of €10m for Souza, and they are now waiting on an answer from the Turkish giants.
The Turkish website says the final decision is likely to come down to the coaching staff at Fenerbahce, and in particular their manager Aykut Kocaman.
West Brom lost their captain Darren Fletcher to Stoke City earlier in the transfer window, and even though they recently brought in Gareth Barry from Everton, it seems Tony Pulis wants to bolster his midfield options before the deadline.
West Brom have been busy in the transfer market in in the past ten days with the signing of Barry, and also the confirmation in the past 24 hours they’ve signed Scottish winger Oliver Burke from RB Leipzig.
The Turkish reports says West Brom will find out in the ‘coming days’ whether their offer is successful.
