For a very long time, Tottenham have been in search for a striker, and they’ve finally got their man: Carlos Vinícius.
The Brazilian is arriving in London to help alleviate some of the pressure on Harry Kane, meaning that another one of their alleged targets, Habib Diallo, will have to look elsewhere for an exit from Metz.
The Senegalese was reportedly holding out for a move to Spurs, but with that now closed, West Bromwich Albion could be an option for him.
That’s according to France Football, who explain that ‘other possibilities’ exist for Diallo outside of Tottenham, where the Baggies and other clubs in the Premier League ‘study his profile’.
However, they are also looking at other targets, and Metz ‘will find it hard to obtain the €15m’ they wanted before the end of the transfer window.
They’ve already budgeted his departure, meaning they need to see him gone sooner rather than later.
We’ll have to see if West Brom come forward, but the optimism isn’t exactly there from France Football.
