West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City have joined the race for Udinese youngster Jakub Jankto, according to reports in Italy. The Czech midfielder has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent months after the Premier League side sent scouts to watch the player.
TMW have claimed West Brom and Stoke City are the latest clubs to show an interest in Jankto, and have been sending officials to Italy to get a lowdown on the former Ascoli player.
Tony Pulis and Mark Hughes will be looking to strengthen their squads in the summer transfer window, and Jankto could be an option open to the two Premier League sides.
However, West Brom and Stoke City may face competition from Arsenal after the player caught the attention of Arsene Wenger. Earlier in the season we covered reports from Italy that Arsenal will continue to send scouts to Italy this season to monitor the development of the Czech Republic U21 international.
The 20-year-old was in impressive form for Ascoli last season, and was a key player in helping the Serie B side avoiding the drop to Lega Pro.
Arsenal also sent officials to Italy last season to watch the player, and he was expected to return to Ascoli for another loan spell. However, given his displays for Ascoil, Udinese decided last summer he would remain with them.
