West Bromwich Albion are still in with a shot of signing youngster Chaka Traore from AC Milan, having struck an agreement with the Italian side.
That’s according to Foot Mercato and journalist Valentin Feuillette, who both report that West Brom and Lausanne have an agreement in place.
The former reports that Traore has been attracting attention throughout this month as he is one of the ‘precious jewels’ of the AC Milan’s Primavera side.
Milan had initially been hesitant to let him out on loan but have slowly moved from that stance and ‘things seem to be evolving’ in the final hours of the window.
Milan’s managements are now open to a loan deal and West Brom and Lausanne are in ‘pole position’ to sign the youngster on loan until the end of the season.
According to FM, both sides have an agreement in place with Milan for a loan without an option to buy and everything should be settled in the coming hours, depending on Traore’s personal decision.
Feuillette backs this up, reporting that both sides have an agreement in place, and it would be a ‘dry loan’ without the option to buy Traore permanently.
Where the winger ends up will be his decision to make, and they are now waiting on that, with ‘very advanced negotiations’ underway in terms of both sides.
