According to Turkish newspaper Sabah, West Bromwich Albion are seriously interested in signing Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi but they are facing competition from Serie A clubs such as Napoli and Lazio.
Slaven Bilic’s side managed to gain promotion to the Premier League despite drawing with QPR in their last game, and they will be looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the top flight.
Sabah claim Muriqi is their primary striker target, and Bilic is very keen to the sign Kosovo international. Among all the other interested clubs, it’s reported West Brom are the most serious contender for the player.
Fenerbahce’s summer transfer plans depend on Muriqi’s departure from the club, and they are looking to receive €20m from the sale of the player.
Muriqi has scored 17 goals in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries this season. across all competitions.
He’s under contract with the Super Lig club until June 2023.
