The Portuguese press is still confident that talks between West Brom and Sporting for Adrien Silva should go on.

As reported by A Bola today, the Baggies are far from giving up on the signing, despite having their last attempt turned down by the Portuguese side.

The offer had already been revealed by the same newspaper on Friday, saying West Brom made a €26m bid, while Sporting are actually demanding €30m.

They claim that the Lions ‘won’t cede’, but it doesn’t mean the talks are over.

West Brom Baggies are expected to make a new offer in the next few days, and considering the minor gap there is between the figures, there’s optimism a deal can be found.

Adrien’s wish to move to the Premier League has been reported for a few months now, so West Brom issue is really to convince Sporting. It’s worth recalling that player has a €45m release clause, so there’s still time for the Portuguese side to change their demands.
