Turkish web site Sporx claim West Bromwich Albion could look to sign Bursaspor defender Ertugrul Ersoy in the next window

West Brom in the past week have been linked with several Turkish Super Lig players after former Fenerbahce sporting director Giuliano Terraneo was brought as a technical consultant for the Premier League club.

The Turkish defender has been one of the most consistent players with a struggling Bursaspor this season, and Sporx say Terraneo has identified him as a target for this summer.

With Jonny Evans looking set to leave the club at the end of the season and Gareth McAuley’s contract expiring in June, Ertugrul Ersoy could help fill the void left by the two West Brom players.

The 21-year old is contracted to Bursaspor until 2020, and is also being tracked by Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

With the recent appointment of Terraneo it was always likely the Baggies would be looking to recruit from Turkey given the Italian’s connections in the country.

This week they’ve already been linked with Fenerbahce midfielders Josef de Souza and Oguz Kagan Guctekin.
