Besiktas winger Kerim Frei has been linked with a move to West Brom and Sunderland in the past.
However, there were reports in the Turkish media that Frei has managed to convince manager Senol Gunes he deserves another chance at the club.
It now appears Frei could be available for transfer in January. According to Turkish website Fanatik, West Bromwich are pursuing Frei, whilst there is also interest from Bundesliga side FC Koln.
The former Fulham player has failed to make an impact for Besiktas this season, and has been spending most of his time on the bench. Fanatik report the Turkish winger could be sent on loan, as he still wants to have a future at the club.
There is no mention of interest from Sunderland in Frei, as there had been previously, so it’s now down to West Brom and FC Koln. A loan deal could be ideal for Besiktas given his potential, but it remains to be seen if West Brom would be interested in that.
