For Kieran Gibbs and his Torino move, things are looking close to being sorted, but it all rests on West Brom right now.
On Wednesday, we relayed a story from Tuttosport, who have kept on top of the story more than anyone else, and their line was that the Serie A side would wait until the end of their transfer window (August 18th) to sign the left-back.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport seem to think it could be resolved sooner one way or another, as Gibbs has already agreed personal terms with Torino.
The deal is currently said to be at a ‘tipping point’, as West Brom could pull the plug very easily, especially since they’re not getting what they want.
Torino, like most Serie A clubs these days, want a loan with a view to buy, which the Baggies aren’t 100% keen on.
There’s no rush yet to get this done, as West Brom already have their replacement, but there’s no point keeping a player around who doesn’t want to be there.
