Kieran Gibbs’ wish to leave West Bromwich Albion is big news in the Turin media today, as local club Torino are keeping an eye on the situation.

Newspaper Tuttosport writes an article based on ‘what has been said in England’, which would be the player’s meeting with the Baggies’ board, saying he’s not keen on playing in a second tier league.

Gibbs is said to be keen on ‘exploring the possibility’ of joining Torino, who are in talks with West Brom for his transfer.

The Championship club are said to be demanding €7m for the move, but all the Italian side want to pay is €1m for a loan deal, and have a buying option of €4m at the end of the season.

Torino’s manager and board both like the player, and that’s why they will wait until the end of the English transfer window to land him.

Tuttosport claims that there’s some ‘confidence’ that a deal will be found.
