Portuguese newspaper Record today brings a short update on the situation of Croatian midfielder Filip Krovinovic.
Loaned by Benfica to West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season, the 24-year-old is still to have a clear picture of his future.
Record claims that the Baggies intend to keep the player and currently have €10m to spend on his permanent signing.
For now, there’s nothing more than ‘interest’ in getting him. But in case West Brom guarantee themselves promotion to the Premier League, then they’d definitely advance for the transfer.
The outlet writes that Krovinovic is ‘happy’ in England, especially for the importance he’s managed to have in the Baggies’ squad this season. Signed in the last summer window, the midfielder has 34 appearances for the club already.
The Baggies have undoubtedly made a great decision when signing Krovinovic on loan from Benfica and Matheus Pereira on loan from Sporting. Now it looks like a matter of time until they can get both players permanently from the Lisbon sides.
