Cardiff City and West Bromwich Albion are both chasing Fenerbahce striker Umut Nayir, according to reports from Turkey.
Journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu is the one bringing the news, claiming both Championship sides are interested in the 30-year-old.
For now, there’s no information on how much Cardiff City and West Brom would like to spend on the signing.
It’s only been six months since Fenerbahce signed Nayir, as they landed him from Eyspspor for free last summer.
Since his arrival, he only played for 120 minutes in 12 appearances, and is clearly having a hard time getting more minutes at the club.
That’s why Fenerbahce may be interested in finding a deal for the 30-year-old, even though he’s only valued by Transfermarkt at €1m.
Even though West Brom are having a better Championship campaign so far, Cardiff do have a Turkish manager in charge, with Erol Bulut having even worked at Fenerbahce before joining them, so that may be an advantage to win the race.
That should all be down to the offers, though, and we should soon get more news from the Istanbul media.
