Arsenal over the past few days have been linked with moves for both Antoine Griezmann and James Rodriguez.
The Real Madrid misfit may not be exactly what Arsenal need in their squad right now but either, especially Griezmann, would be a hugely exciting buy.
The Atletico Madrid star has a buyout clause of €100m which is an awful lot, but not beyond the realms of possibility. Such a deal would push Arsenal to the forefront of world transfers and be a game changer.
However, it’s not likely Arsenal will make such a move, and Griezmann himself repeatedly makes it clear that he’s happy Atletico Madrid and certainly not pushing to move away from the club just yet.
So still, Arsenal rumble on. El Confidencial journalist, and Arsenal fan, Kike Marin sent a tweet out on Wednesday which said Arsenal could get a striker from La Liga, not Griezmann.
El delantero que finalmente puede fichar el #Arsenal juega en LaLiga, pero no es Griezmann. Wenger, a la desesperada pic.twitter.com/MWUOxbaSP2

That then led to lots of guesses from Arsenal fans. With Marin saying Wenger is getting desperate, the pool of available players would appear to widen.
