‘Interest is filed, nothing concrete’: – Agent speaks out as Tottenham and Atletico transfer mooted

 

Unsurprisingly, rumours linking Hakan Çalhanoğlu to Tottenham Hotspur have already made their way to the English media. The Bayer Leverkusen player is linked with a move to England at the end of every transfer window, as we explained earlier, and this time the lucky club is Tottenham Hotspur.

It’s been claimed that the player’s agent has confirmed interest from Tottenham, but that’s not quite the case. Speaking to Germany’s Kicker, Bektas Demirtas was asked specifically about interest from Atletico Madrid being reported in Spain.

Demirtas replied: “The interest is filed, but there is nothing concrete.”

Tottenham were not mentioned by Kicker in that particular article. Over in Turkey, there’s been no independent claims on interest from either Spurs or Atletico, just the media covering the claims from Germany, Spain, and now the inevitable English tangents on it all.
