It’s no secret that Jorginho’s agent loves speaking to the Italian media, and he’s done it once again today.

This time having a chat with Radio Marte, João Santos talked about the midfielder’s situation at Chelsea and the chances of him moving back to Serie A.

First speaking about Maurizio Sarri, who coached Jorginho at Napoli and Chelsea, the representative analysed the odds of them working together once again in the future.

“We all know that he likes Jorginho, but today we need to understand what the market and economic situations are, I don’t know what will happen,” Joao Santos told Radio Marte (via CalcioMercato.com).

Quizzed about whether or not Jorginho has proven people who didn’t believe in him that they were wrong, the agent highlights the player’s good seasons with the Blues.

“Everyone is wrong in this profession. In the Premier League, a faster and more physical midfield, he plays in a two, while in the national team he plays in a three. He’s an intelligent player who knows how to play football”.

João Santos also analysed the chances of Jorginho getting a new contract with Chelsea, and claimed that the player’s recent knee injury shouldn’t be a problem for the remainder of the season.

“The Chelsea midfield has players of great value. If Chelsea don’t renew, we’ll try to return to Italy.”

“It’s not a serious problem (the knee), you need to do some physiotherapy.”

Jorginho’s contract with Chelsea only expires in 2023, so there’s probably no rush from the Blues and it’s a bit soon to think about leaving the club over it.

Still, the chatter in the Italian media continues, with many of them trying to make it look like he could end up returning to the country sooner rather than later.
