It’s not a summer transfer window unless Watford are sending their youngsters around Europe and with the deadline still open outside of England, they’re continuing to do that.
The likes of Dodi Lukebakio, Obbi Oulare, Ben Wilmot, Jerome Sinclair and Kwasi Sibo have all left so far this summer, and it appears Mamadou Mbaye is set to join them.
The 21-year-old spent last season out on loan at Inter Zapresic but according to Diario de Cadiz is now on his way to Cadiz this year.
The newspaper doesn’t explain if this is a loan move or a permanent deal, just that the youngster has already arrived at the club. Indeed, it is heavily implied that this is a done deal.
Mbaye started his career with the Spanish club before moving to Watford on a free transfer in 2017 and had to overcome ‘bureaucratic procedures’ in his home country of Senegal before this move to Cadiz could go through.
He won’t be featuring for the first-team, though, with his arrival viewed as a boost for Cadiz B as he is a ‘guarantee for the center of the defense of Cádiz B in terms of height and quality’.
