Brazilian outlet UOL today features an interesting piece on the future of João Pedro, who could be on his way out of Watford this summer.
The article points out the Hornets consider him out of their best assets in the transfer window, as he was one of their few good players with a good season, and currently plan of selling him for between €30m and €40m.
João Pedro made 29 appearances for Watford this season, with four goals and one assist. Since he’s still 20 years old, there’s obviously still a big margin for his development.
UOL points out that according to reports from the English media, he’s been pursued by the likes of Newcastle United and West Ham United, as well as Benfica.
Now with Watford demanding that much for his sale, it’s probably safe to say the Portuguese club will need to sell Darwin Nuñez before reaching anywhere near those figures, and even then, it’s more likely he should stay among the richest leagues in Europe.
