With journalist Fabrizio Romano from Calcio Mercato spending some time in London, he’s made a video about each local club most days this week.
Today the story is about Gerard Deulofeu from Watford, who would still be wanted by AC Milan, despite the short loan spell he already had there in 2017.
Romano claims that according to the player’s father, Deulofeu would fancy a return to Milan, as he feels he didn’t have enough opportunities in his time at the San Siro.
However, this is a transfer that shouldn’t be happening anytime soon. That’s because Watford are pretty satisfied with Deulofeu’s form at the club, and don’t have any intention of letting him go.
Deulofeu joined the Hornets on a loan from Barcelona in January, and he signed a permanent deal in the summer in a €13m move.
So if Milan didn’t take the chance to sign him permanently when they had the opportunity, it doesn’t look like it will be Watford who will give them a second shot.
