Spanish side Osasuna have ‘maintained contacts’ with Watford over full-back Pervis Estupiñan but know a second deal is ‘practically impossible’ at this point.
Estupiñan spent last season on loan with the La Liga club, becoming a key player and earning himself plenty of admirers with a number of impressive performances.
He has returned to Watford this summer following the conclusion of his loan spell, with all indications being that they are set to include him in their squad next season as they look to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
That has certainly been the story coming out of England, with several sources stating that Watford were keen on keeping hold of him.
Despite that, the rumours remain that he could leave Vicarage Road, and according to Diario de Navarra Osasuna are keeping track of the situation.
They explain they ‘do not miss any detail’ of what happens with him and have ‘maintained contacts’ with Watford in case they decide to sell.
So far that does not appear likely to happen as the Hornets have refused to ‘engage in conversations’ about a move. In fact, they have insisted they will not enter into negotiations.
Despite that, the player remains a ‘great desire’ for the club, even if they know a deal is ‘practically impossible’ at this point.
