Earlier on Monday, it was reported that Eintracht Frankfurt had made the first move to try and sign Randal Kolo Muani.
Southampton were among those also interested in the player, as Sky Germany made it clear they were the main competition (alongside Bayer Leverkusen) for the striker, but they never mentioned Watford.
Foot Mercato, however, do, confirming the news emerging from Germany that the Bundesliga side have offered the Nantes star ‘a lengthy contract’ as well as a ‘wage offer considerably superior’ to what he currently earns in France.
The French website, who were the first to report Watford’s interest in the player back in early April, add that the Hornets, RB Leipzig, Club Brugge, Freiburg and Southampton have all ‘manifested themselves’ as well to try and convince Muani to join them.
That being said, it appears none of them have taken the steps Eintracht have so far, meaning the Pozzo family might need to speed things up if they want to avoid missing out on him.
And if all that wasn’t enough, RMC Sport are also reporting about it, making this more than likely to be true
