Aaron Ramsey had little choice but to head for the Arsenal exit in 2019, after the Gunners withdrew a renewal offer they’d previously presented to him. As a free agent, the Welshman was able to have his choice of clubs, and secured himself a transfer to Juventus.
The Turin side had been targeting free agents, seemingly without a coaching plan of how they’d use them. Juve’s general hope when signing players like Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot appeared to be that a Premier League club would eventually turn up and give them a huge profit.
Calciomercato report Ramsey’s two seasons at Juve have been disappointing and hampered by injury, and the only two clubs from England named in the report are West Ham and Crystal Palace.
The London clubs, managed by David Moyes and Roy Hodgson respectively, have both ‘timidly tested the ground’ to sign the former Arsenal player. That doesn’t make it sound like either West Ham or Crystal Palace are racing forward for the potential signing.
Ramsey is thought to be open to a move, however, he isn’t so keen on taking a pay cut. That would have to be sorted out with the Serie A club, and it’s even claimed Juventus would want around €15m, which sounds a little ambitious.
