After reports of West Bromwich Albion offers in the last two transfer windows, Takvim claim Watford are showing an interest in Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza.

The Turkish newspaper report Watford have offered Fenerbahce €12m to sign De Souza in the summer, but the Turkish giants have rejected the bid as they are reportedly looking for a fee in the region of €16m.

Takvim say new Watford boss Javi Gracia wants to see Josef in his team next season, and the Premier League club could look to take advantage of his contract situation. De Souza contract expires in summer 2019, so Fenerbahce need to sell this summer, renew, or see his value drop.

West Brom tried to sign De Souza in the last summer window, but pulled out at the last minute. The Baggies were again linked with the South American in the January window, with reports they were willing to offer €15m for the player.

However, when Alan Pardew replaced Tony Pulis at West Brom interest cooled.

Josef has been one of the most consistent players for Fenerbahce since signing from Sao Paulo in 2015, and is probably one of the most loved players with the Yellow Canaries fans due to his work ethic on and off the pitch.

The 28-year old Brazilian defensive midfielder has only missed one game in the league this season.
