Watford are ‘about to advance’ with a €15m offer for François Kamano, report France Football on Tuesday morning.
The Bordeaux player is also said to be of interest to AS Monaco, who are making big attempts to heavily improve their squad during the winter market.
Cesc Fabregas’ new club have offered around €13m for the player, which isn’t enough at this stage.
France Football say Watford ‘would be about to advance’ with their own offer, and including bonuses that €15m can rise to €17m.
Bordeaux are looking to raise €20-25m from the 22 year old’s sale, but the report doesn’t dismiss Watford’s chances altogether.
Playing mainly from the left, Kamano has eight Ligue 1 goals so far this season. He largely sticks to the side, whether playing as a left sided midfielder or part of a three pronged attack.
The French reports states Watford are also looking at Guingamp’s Marcus Thuram as an alternative, should they fail with Kamano.
Thuram is 21 years old and has 7 goals so far this season, and whilst he also plays from the left he tends to drift more centrally than the Bordeaux player.
