For the past few weeks, reports coming out of Italy have named Arsenal and AC Milan as Marco Asensio’s suitors.
On April 7th, Sport Mediaset reported the Gunners have made an offer to the 26-year-old and this was relayed to the Serie A side by his entourage. Stefano Pioli’s side have also made a proposal to the player.
On Thursday, we carried a report from Calciomercato, who explained Arsenal are in the mix to sign the winger in the summer.
It was also explained the former Mallorca man has ‘decided to change agents’ and will now be managed by Jorge Mendes. This has also been backed up in the Spanish press.
The Spain international ‘takes time and looks around’ since he would have less game time next season with the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappé. Real Madrid’s desire to sign the Frenchman would be the ‘main reason’ why Asensio is looking to change clubs.
Milan ‘remain at the window’ for the Real Madrid attacker, but the report warns about the Gunners.
Sport Mediaset now state ‘watch out for Arsenal’, which is to indicate the Serie A side that Mikel Arteta’s side cannot be excluded from the race to sign Asensio in the next window.
Asensio looking to change clubs would give Arsenal and Milan a good chance to secure his services after this season.
