Sadio Mané could look to leave Bayern Munich this summer, just a year after his big move from Liverpool.

That’s according to journalist Patrick Juillard, who believes it is up for debate whether the forward wants to stay at the Allianz Arena.

Mané joined the German giants from Liverpool in a €32m deal in the summer transfer window after six very successful years at Anfield in which he scored 120 goals and registered 48 assists in 269 games for the club.

That meant he arrived in Munich with a big reputation, and indeed was seen as something of a bargain signing, but he has not managed to live up to that since his arrival.

A tally of 11 goals and five assists in 32 games in all competitions has not helped to fill the hole left by Robert Lewandowski, while injury issues have meant he’s featured in just 49% of the available minutes in the league this season.

The latest low point came this week in his clash with Leroy Sané after the loss to Manchester City, in which Mané is said to have struck his teammate during an altercation.

That had led Bayern to fining the former Liverpool man as well as suspending him, something with Juillard believes could lead to a departure this summer.

“Sadio Mané’s future is not threatened at Bayern,” he tweeted.

“Indeed, the sanctions will not go further than the announced suspension (+ fine).

“The question is rather does he wants to stay, and whether the club will keep him if there is a good offer? I’m not sure…”
