On Wednesday, we saw Os Donos Da Bola host Neto claiming Palmeiras star Raphael Veiga would soon head to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The pundit said that the star will be sold to Wolves ‘next year’, and in our story, we explained why he may not be the best source for transfer news in Brazil.

Well, it turns out that journalist Jorge Nicola now has an update on this rumour, and brings a couple of interesting claims.

First of all, he spoke to a source of his at Palmeiras who said there are no advanced negotiations for that move, even though Wolves’ interest was not dismissed.

Nicola then points out that last week, Neto broke the news regarding Veiga’s call-up for the Brazilian national team one day before the list was made official.

That means that in case he has good sources about the player, he may be right about the move to the Molineux as well.

So as the situation heats up, we keep waiting for more reliable Brazilian outlets to bring something about Wolves’ chase for the midfielder.
