Earlier on Wednesday, we relayed news from tportal in Croatia that Liverpool had made a €15m bid for Dinamo Zagreb starlet Ante Coric, and come to the conclusion that he was theirs.
The Croatian website claimed a ‘reliable source’ had told them of the offer being placed, and everything was left to Zdravko Mamic to sort out.
The original article said the club would discuss the offer with Mamic today, and we assumed there would be further updates.
Well, we were right.
Said article, published on Tuesday night, was followed up by another on Wednesday by tportal, who claim they have been told a decision will be made on Thursday.
According to them, Dinamo weren’t willing to offer ‘comment on media speculation’, but a bit more digging unearthed the information that ‘we will know a lot more on Thursday, maybe even everything’.
tportal are quick to say this doesn’t necessarily mean the transfer will go through and that Coric will become a Liverpool player, but they seem sure we’ll know a bit more by then.
As always, we’ll be keeping an eye out on it so you don’t have to.
